Durham Black Network invites you to join their free 3rd Black Experience Townhall on Saturday, February 11th, 2023, 5pm in recognition of Black History Month at the Newcastle Community Hall.
Topics will include celebrating Black Excellence while addressing Systemic Anti-Black Racism within systems, and getting feedback on best practices through an interactive community dialogue, expert speakers, exhibitors, networking, entertainment, and breakout session focusing on Healthcare & Mental Wellbeing.
Featuring a presentation of their recent participation in the McMaster University Health Sprint Program in which Medical Students researched the Problem Statement & Innovation Challenge of "How might we reduce racial health inequalities in the healthcare system." We are looking at the Healthcare System, barriers, policies and how we can move forward to break down barriers, building relationships and move forward as a community.
