Mock Election

[All Ages]

Bowmanville Branch
Friday, October 7th to Monday, October 24th

From now until October 24th, the Clarington Public Library, Museums & Archives is holding a mock election at the Bowmanville Branch, where kids across Clarington can cast their vote towards a fictional Library Mascot! Families can learn about democracy together by experiencing how voting can help a group make a choice.

Elections and voting are an important part of democracy for all Canadians. Voting is the way you choose people to represent you and what you believe in government. By expressing your choice, you are taking part in the democratic process of government that generations of Canadians have fought to build.

For adults over the age of 18, voting in the Clarington 2022 Municipal Elections will take place electronically using the internet and telephone from Tuesday, October 18th until Monday, October 24th. For more information on how to vote, you can visit www.clarington.net/votes.
