Discover the surprising science hiding in a bag of Skittles. Explore solubility, buoyancy, reactivity and investigate the odds of finding your favourite colour. How sweet it is!

These virtual workshops include a science kit, which may be picked up at any branch one week in advance. An email including the link to the Microsoft Teams meeting will be sent to attendees in advance of the virtual event.

Please limit registrations to one per household, and share devices where possible! Register today!

Colour is everywhere! Without it our world would be a very dull place. Use colour to watch water defy gravity, explore rainbows and create a sun catcher. Use chemistry to create new colours. Curious? Come and explore some colourful science.

Drag Queen Storytime is going virtual! Join us for storytime and musical fun for all fabulous children of all ages and their caregivers. This family-friendly program will showcase stories and songs that explore and celebrate diversity and inclusion. This special virtual storytime will be held with Lucy Flawless, and will include story readings, a lip-sync performance, and Q&A session.

Offered in partnership with Toronto Drag Queen Storytime and Youth Pride Durham. All readings are sponsored by Durham Children's Aid Society.

The virtual Resilience Workshop will focus on building one’s resilience and the capacity to recovery from difficult times. Learn how to recognize, build, or continue to build your resilience.

The wellness event features mental health speakers, including Dr. Floyd Spence, Elevasyon, Canadian Mental Health Association Durham, and Lakeridge Health, followed by a Q&A and breakout session.

Presented in partnership with the Carion Fenn Foundation, Lakeridge Health, and Ajax Legion, and sponsored by the Municipality of Clarington and the Islamic Society of Ajax.
