Learn strategies for implementing structure and routine, reducing stress, and finding ways for families to work and establish resilience together. Discover ways you can help your children combat the feelings of loneliness and isolation sparked by being distanced from friends, schoolmates, and other important individuals in their lives. A Q&A will follow this interactive workshop.

Drag Queen Storytime is going virtual! Join us for storytime and musical fun for fabulous children of all ages and their caregivers. This family-friendly program will showcase stories and songs that explore and celebrate diversity and inclusion. This special virtual storytime featuring Lucy Flawless includes story readings, a lip-sync performance, and Q&A session.

Boost your child’s STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills virtually with Ontario Tech University’s Engineering Outreach!

Each week during the three-week workshop series, the STEM Club will feature different engineering themes based on space through hands-on activities using commonly found household materials! Learn about the sun and build a solar oven, code a space-themed game, and discover planets and space exploration! Registrants will receive information about the topic, lists of required materials and links to the Google Meet before the session begins.

Presented in partnership with Ontario Tech University Engineering Outreach.

Please note: Ontario Tech University Engineering Outreach will be recording all of the Live Learning sessions and posting them at a later date on to their channels to allow other students to learn from the content. The focus will be on the facilitator and the presentation, but students may be included in the stream. Virtually meet with undergraduate engineering students from Ontario Tech University in this 45-minute panel discussion. Students will discuss what is engineering, the engineering design process, real-world applications of engineering and grade-school level educational pathways. The discussion will be followed by a live Q&A session, so bring your engineering questions!
