Clarington Public Library is an active and valued cornerstone of the community. Donations from individuals, groups, and organizations allow Clarington Public Library to enhance service offerings. Funds may be used to upgrade equipment, refurbish branches, purchase specialty resources, or expand services and programs.
Much of Clarington Public Library’s operating budget is funded by the Municipality of Clarington; however, to meet the growing needs of the community, additional support is required. Clarington Public Library is a registered non-profit organization. Financial gifts of $25.00 or more are tax deductible.
1. Online – Online donations are made possible through CanadaHelps.org. CanadaHelps.org is a registered charity that facilitates secure and easy online donations to Canadian charities. Tax receipts will be issued online via an e-mail address. More information about Canada Helps can be found on their website.
2. By Mail – Print a copy of our donation form. Send your completed form along with your cheque to:

A tribute or memorial gift allows you to honour a loved one, friend, or colleague in a unique and heartfelt way. The Library will send a card acknowledging your gift to the individual or group being honoured. If it is a memorial gift, the Library will send the card to the designated family.
Should you wish to make a tribute or memorial gift, please indicate the dedication on the online or paper form.
Clarington Public Library accepts materials donations, including art, photographic works, equipment, toys, or other in-kind gifts or services.
At this time, the Library is currently not accepting donations of books, magazines, or A/V material (i.e. DVDs, audio CDs). If you have material you would like to donate, please consider the Mission Thrift Store, St Vincent de Paul, or the Salvation Army.
