Ancestry Home Access

Learn more about your roots while you're spending more time with family! For a limited time only, Ancestry.ca is offering complimentary access from home for a limited time only. Access is free with your Library card! Normally this great resource is only available in-branch.

Access hundreds of original documents and records including voter lists, birth and marriage records, census records, military records, immigration records, travel records, newspaper articles, photos, and maps. 

To get started:

  1. Sign into the Library’s catalogue using your Library card number and PIN
  2. The Ancestry graphic and link will appear on the right-hand menu; click that to access the resource.
  3. Please see the image to the right for an example of what the catalogue will look like once you've logged in, with the Ancestry logo circled. 

Please note that at this time, Ancestry may not accessible through mobile devices; a desktop or laptop must be used to log in and acess Ancestry. We are looking into a solution, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
