Your Library is proud to continue our holiday tradition with Lakeridge Health Bowmanville this holiday season with an over-sized community card!

We’re encouraging our members to sign, write messages, or even draw on the card, which will be given to the patients and their families that need to remain in the hospital over the holidays.

The holiday card is expected to be in your local branch on the following days, but please note that this schedule is subject to change. Follow the Library on Facebook or Twitter for the most up-to-date information.

  • November 15 to 19: Newcastle Branch
  • November 20 to 23: Courtice Branch
  • November 24 to 27: Bowmanville Branch
  • November 28 to December 4: Orono Branch
  • December 5 to 8: Newcastle Branch
  • December 9 to 12: Courtice Branch

Alleviate hunger in Clarington! Help a family and your community while reducing your fines.

Your Library will credit $1 of the amount owed in fines (up to a maximum of $5) for every non-perishable food item donated. Food donations will also be welcomed where no fines are owed! All food collected will be distributed across Clarington by local food banks.

Look for “Dear Santa” notes you can answer on each branch's Christmas trees and decorations! Each tag has food bank donation requests with items most in need this holiday season. You can also download a printable copy of the shopping list!

Send out personalized holiday cards to family and friends this year, with help from our staff and The Studio in the Courtice Branch! Book an appointment on Friday, November 22 or Saturday, November 23, then come dressed in your holiday best. We’ll take it from there!

Already have the skills to make an awesome card, but need the equipment or software? Book time in The Studio whenever works for you – we have a camera, backdrops, and variety of editing software for you to use!
