CLOCA Watershed Plan Review

Courtice Branch, The Great Room
Thursday, November 8
6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Drop in; no registration required.

Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA) is updating their watershed plans! These plans help achieve healthy natural systems that positively respond to changes such as growth, new infrastructure and climate change.

A watershed is an area of land that is drained by a river or creek and its tributaries into a body of water, like Lake Ontario. Achieving healthy and resilient watersheds is a vital component in the environmental, economic, social, and cultural success of a community.

The 2018 updates will provide recommendations and tools to help mitigate pressing issues, including sustainable water resources, balancing urban development and watershed health, and assessing climate change risks and hazards.

CLOCA is seeking input from watershed stakeholders like yourself to help update their watershed plans. Drop in to one of the plan reviews to provide input on the Bowmanville, Soper & Black, Farewell, and Harmony Creek Watersheds on either November 8 at 6:00 p.m., or November 10 at 1:00 p.m., both at the Courtice Branch

For more information, please view CLOCA's Watershed Plan Review document or visit their website. (Please note that the survey will not be available until October.)
