Attend a clinic to test the hearing of your little one, offered in partnership with the Markham Stouffville Hospital.
Children develop speech and language by listening and imitating those around them, but when there is a hearing loss, these skills may be delayed. Nearly four in 1,000 babies are born deaf or hard of hearing and more children develop hearing loss as they grow.
To help identify children as early as possible and provide them with follow-up services, 15 minute infant hearing screenings will be available in partnership with the Markham Stouffville Hospital, the lead agency for the Tri-Regional Infant Hearing Program.
