Types of Visits
Welcome to the Library or Library Orientation (All Ages/All Grades)
This visit includes information about library programs, a tour of the library, the collections and services are highlighted and includes the opportunity to obtain a new library card.
Storytime (JK to Grade 3)
Come to the library for a story-time themed visit that features books and activities that can be tailored to your unit of study. This visit includes a tour of the library, information about upcoming library programs and the opportunity to obtain a new library card.
Getting the Most from Your Library (Grades 4 to 8)
In this visit library staff will demonstrate how to use the Clarington Public Library’s mobile app, the online library catalogue and the use of electronic tools to help you find your next favourite book. The opportunity to obtain a new library card could also be included.
Your Virtual Library (Grade 4 and up)
This visits demonstrates how to access and use eBooks, eResources and eMagazines for reading enjoyment and homework help. The opportunity to obtain a new library card could also be included.
Customized Group Visits (All Ages)
The library staff will work with you to create a visit that is age appropriate and exciting for your group.
